Angola is located on the Western coast of Africa. It is the home of more than 11 million people and has been an independent nation since 1975. Oil is the backbone of the Angolan economy and comprises 90% of their exports. Another major product is coffee and it is a country rich with minerals and other natural resources. During our time at the Embassy, Press Attaché Laurinda Santos spoke of the vast trade possibilities with Angola and the major commitments the Chinese government had already made to the people of Angola.
