I never got around to posting some wonderful news from a few months ago. The second installment in my Born to Spy series, The Spy in the Harem, was selected as a finalist for the Linda Howard Award of Excellence! Being named in an award in honor of one of the great thriller and romantic suspense authors of all time is truly incredible.
Yup, that’s my lil’ ole name circled under Romantic Suspense, even though this book has really evolved into a thriller. In this book, The Spy in the Harem, my heroine, Trina, tries to track down a ring of kidnappers and ends up getting kidnapped for real — right into a modern day Sultan’s harem. It’s up to her to save herself, and seven American women, with nothing more than her wits. This book was conceived before the Liam Neeson film, Taken, but has very much the same vibe. And yes, I have been plotting out this series that far in advance. 😉
When the book’s in print, I’ll make sure you are all the first to know. In the meantime, I get to put the badge in the header up top on my website — and now you will all know the honor it means.
Thank you, as always, for taking the journey with me.
XO
